Recap: Marlow Outlaws vs. Washington Warriors
The Marlow Outlaws won the last time they faced the Washington Warriors, and things went their way on Friday too. Marlow took down Washington 58-43. Given Marlow's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Washington is ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Marlow to victory were Kaden Harris and Parker Boyles. Harris scored 12 points along with five steals, while Boyles scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Boyles has scored at least a third of Marlow's points. Blayd Harris was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Marlow has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Washington, they bumped their record down to 4-8 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marlow will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lindsay at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Washington, they will head out on the road to take on Purcell at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
