Football Recap: Western Takes a Loss

Western was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 43-8 loss at the hands of the Harper Creek Beavers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered against the Beavers since September 10, 2021.

Western's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Harper Creek, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Western will square off against Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Mounties' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Harper Creek, they will take on Hastings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Beavers will be up against the Saxons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
