Basketball Game Preview: Penns Manor Comets vs. Portage Mustangs + How To Watch

Having just played yesterday, the Penns Manor Comets will head out on the road to face off against the Portage Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Penns Manor is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight games dating back to last season on Monday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-59 heartbreaker at the hands of Harmony Area.

Portage not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since December 3, 2024 (when they won 70-27). They blew past Purchase Line 55-30. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Red Dragons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Portage's win came from a few key players Penns Manor will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tyson Burkett, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 10 points along with eight boards and five assists. Braylin Walker was another key player, shooting 60% from the field en route to 14 points.

Portage was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Penns Manor's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Portage, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Penns Manor lost to Portage on the road by a decisive 72-55 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can the Comets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
