Football Recap: Lakeland Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lakeland strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took down the Weiser Wolverines 24-9. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Lakeland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Peyton Hillman, who threw for 189 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 47 yards. The Hawks' leading receiver Jaron Yager was Hillman's top target yet again, picking up 73 receiving yards and three TDs.

Lakeland's record now sits at 3-0. As for Weiser, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Lakeland will welcome West Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Weiser, they are taking a road trip to square off against Melba at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
