Basketball Game Preview: Potter-Dix Coyotes vs. Hyannis Longhorns

The Potter-Dix Coyotes just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Hyannis Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Potter-Dix is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

In Friday's Canine Competition, Potter-Dix didn't have enough. They fell to Arthur County 59-54.

Meanwhile, Hyannis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Alliance and fell 72-40. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 108th).

Potter-Dix's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Hyannis, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Potter-Dix came out on top in a nail-biter against Hyannis when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 54-52. Will Potter-Dix repeat their success, or does Hyannis have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
