Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Aedan Tucker and Evan Crane Lead Hillman to Victory

Hillman won the last time they faced Mio-Au Sable and things went their way on Friday too. The Hillman Tigers enjoyed a cozy 59-43 win over the Mio-Au Sable Thunderbolts. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Hillman was led to victory by Evan Crane and Aedan Tucker. Crane went 8-for-14 en route to 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Tucker went 7-for-12 to rack up 19 points. Those 19 points gave Tucker a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cuyler Schultz, who posted four points in addition to eight assists and six boards.

Hillman pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points over those games. As for Mio-Au Sable, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers duke it out with the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mio-Au Sable, they will challenge Oscoda at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
