Baseball Preview: Yelm Tornados vs. Bethel Bison
For the second straight game, Yelm will face off against Bethel. The Tornados will host the Bison at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Yelm is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
Things were looking good for Yelm after they put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bethel.
For Bethel's part, they got a great performance from Warner Anderson as he struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Anderson also tossed two walks, which is notable because the Bison are 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 0-7 otherwise.
At the plate, Keegan Peck was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.
