Volleyball Game Preview: University Prep Value Wolves vs. Downtown Magnets Suns

The University Prep Value Wolves will head out to face off against the Downtown Magnets Suns at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wolves on Monday. University Prep Value blew past Los Angeles Academy of Arts & Enterprise 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant University Prep Value was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-10, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Downtown Magnets had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight two weeks ago. They came out on top against the Stallions by a score of 3-1.

Downtown Magnets had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-19.

University Prep Value's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-9. As for Downtown Magnets, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.

Everything went University Prep Value's way against Downtown Magnets in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as University Prep Value made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Suns turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
