Volleyball Recap: St. Albans Comes Up Short

St. Albans lost against Philip Barbour back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Dragons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts. The Red Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

When it comes to explaining why St. Albans lost, don't look at Ellah Smith. Despite the final result, she had five digs and three blocks. Smith is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bethany Farry, who had 13 kills.

St. Albans' loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Philip Barbour, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-6-2 record this season.
