Basketball Game Preview: Wright Panthers vs. Big Horn Rams

Wright is 2-8 against Big Horn since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Wright Panthers will look to defend their home court against the Big Horn Rams at 4:30 p.m. Wright knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matchups -- so hopefully Big Horn likes a good challenge.

If Wright beats Big Horn with 87 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Wright took their contest on Saturday with ease, bagging an 87-51 victory over Tongue River. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Big Horn unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 59-52 to Sundance.

Wright will have to contain Caleb Adsit as he made an impact in Big Horn's last game. He went 6 of 9 en route to 14 points and five rebounds. Adsit has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Bridger Doke, who posted six points.

Wright is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.1 points per game. As for Big Horn, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Wright was able to grind out a solid win over Big Horn in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 72-65. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Adsit, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards.
