Soccer Recap: Boerne-Champion Falls to Port Neches-Groves in First Game of Season

Boerne-Champion had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Port Neches-Groves Indians by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Meredith Plank and Lily Alejo scored both of Boerne-Champion's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The victory got Port Neches-Groves back to even at 1-1.

Boerne-Champion wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Kingwood on the 3rd. Port Neches-Groves has also already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Tomball on the 4th.
