Volleyball Recap: Labette County Comes Up Short

Labette County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Independence Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat back in September.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Labette County sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-20, 18-25, 25-17.

Labette County's loss dropped their record down to 9-21. As for Independence, their victory bumped their record up to 15-12-1.

Labette County has already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Prairie View on the 11th. As for Independence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Paola on the 11th.
