Basketball Recap: Valley Springs Comes Up Short

If Valley Springs was riding high fresh off their 63-37 takedown of Cave City last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Valley Springs Tigers were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 52-51 to the Salem Greyhounds. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Greyhounds earlier this season, when they won 35-34.

Valley Springs' loss dropped their record down to 28-9. As for Salem, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Valley Springs nor Salem have any future games scheduled.
