Baseball Recap: Fox Valley Lutheran Comes Up Short

Fox Valley Lutheran fell victim to Clintonville and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Truckers by a score of 1-0. The Foxes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Truckers earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

James Heimerl was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over six innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in hits (zero).

Fox Valley Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Clintonville, with the win, they broke their ten-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-13.

Looking ahead, Fox Valley Lutheran will welcome Notre Dame Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clintonville, they will be playing at home against Marinette at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last seven games the Marines have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
