Volleyball Game Preview: Kodiak Bears vs. Palmer Moose

After both having extra time off, the Kodiak Bears and the Palmer Moose will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Kodiak saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of Susitna Valley by a score of 2-1. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Palmer, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in September. They walked away with a 3-1 win over North Pole on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Moose.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-13, 21-25, 25-19.

Kodiak's defeat dropped their record down to 5-26-3. As for Palmer, their victory bumped their record up to 17-15-2.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Kodiak has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.3 aces per game. However, it's not like Palmer struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
