Soccer Game Preview: Thunderbird vs. Mica Mountain

The Thunderbird Titans will venture away from home to challenge the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Thunderbird is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over ALA - Gilbert North. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mica Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past Prescott 5-2 on Wednesday. Considering the Thunderbolts' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Prescott with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Julian Ordaz (2), Riley Carson, Grady Coleman, and Blake Allen.

Mica Mountain's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Thunderbird, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
