Basketball Recap: Bell Eagles vs. Carson Colts
Bell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carson Colts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 42-37 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2021.
Justin Cooper was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points for Carson. The contest was Cooper's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Blake McCall was another key player, scoring 14 points.
Bell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Carson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-6.
Bell will be playing at home against Roosevelt at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Carson has already played their next game (against Bell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
