Baseball Recap: St. Dominic's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. Dominic won against Westminster Christian on Thursday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Crusaders never let the Liberty Eagles get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Crusaders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Noah Price looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Anthony Flamm Jr., who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

St. Dominic pushed their record up to 9-4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Liberty, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

St. Dominic will head out to take on Fort Zumwalt South at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.13 runs per game on average), something the Crusaders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Liberty, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Parkway West at 4:15 p.m.
