Volleyball Game Preview: Marion Bulldogs vs. McMullen County Cowboys

The Marion Bulldogs will be taking part in a tournament against the McMullen County Cowboys at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Marion will be strutting in after a win while McMullen County will be coming in after a loss.

While Marion didn't have the best season last year (they finished 14-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Victoria East on Friday.

Meanwhile, McMullen County unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 2-0 to Floresville. The match marked the first time this season in which the Cowboys were not able to get on the board.

McMullen County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Marion, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
