Baseball Recap: Mt. Hope Takes a Loss

Mt. Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Raphael Academy Saints. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2018.

Trace Dubois was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Logan Dubois was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Mt. Hope's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for St. Raphael Academy, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Hope will venture away from home to take on Bishop Hendricken at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Raphael Academy, they will head out to challenge Rogers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
