McComb has gone 9-1 against Pandora-Gilboa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will square off against the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. McComb will be strutting in after a victory while Pandora-Gilboa will be coming in after a loss.

McComb is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Vanlue on Monday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Pandora-Gilboa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Hardin Northern, falling 14-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rockets have suffered against the Polar Bears since April 6, 2019.

Pandora-Gilboa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was G Kempf, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

McComb's victory bumped their record up to 2-7-1. As for Pandora-Gilboa, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

McComb beat Pandora-Gilboa 6-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
