As for Nipomo, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games.
On Nipomo's side, Ava Camacho spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. Camacho has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Van Muysen, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
