Softball Recap: Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Takes a Loss

Southern School of Energy and Sustainability and Northern Durham faced off in a cross-town battle on Wednesday. Southern School of Energy and Sustainability might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-1 to Northern Durham, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss leaves the Spartans still looking for their first win of the season.

Southern School of Energy and Sustainability saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalynn Snipes-Draine, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases. Snipes-Draine is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season.

Southern School of Energy and Sustainability's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Northern Durham, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Southern School of Energy and Sustainability wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 17-7 loss against Durham Academy on the 26th. As for Northern Durham, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 22-13 defeat against East Chapel Hill on the 26th.
