Basketball Recap: Ripon Comes Up Short

After flying high against Orestimba last Tuesday, Ripon came back down to earth. The Ripon Indians fell just short of the Ripon Christian Knights by a score of 57-55 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Indians have suffered since February 27, 2024.

Loss or not, Ripon got some senior leadership from Marcus Madoski and Logan Lefebvre. Madoski dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards, while Lefebvre posted 16 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. The matchup was Madoski's 25th in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Tanner Hickman, who earned four points and six rebounds.

Ripon's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Ripon Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
