Basketball Game Preview: Ponte Vedra Sharks vs. San Jose Prep Storm

The Ponte Vedra Sharks will head out to take on the San Jose Prep Storm at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Ponte Vedra is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since December 17, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Oakleaf by a score of 59-56.

Meanwhile, San Jose Prep was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 59-53 to ED White. The Storm have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ponte Vedra's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for San Jose Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.

Ponte Vedra strolled past San Jose Prep in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 65-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ponte Vedra since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
