Clinton-Massie made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Batavia, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Falcons blew past the Bulldogs 8-2 on Monday. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 10-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Madi Courson looked comfortable as she tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kalli Jodrey, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (two). Karley Goodin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Clinton-Massie now has a winning record of 2-1-1. As for Batavia, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Clinton-Massie will face off against Western Brown at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Batavia, they will take on Bishop Brossart at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
