Football Recap: Lake Oconee Academy Comes Up Short

Lake Oconee Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They fell 13-6 to the George Walton Academy Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by exactly seven points.

Jake McDonald threw for 34 yards on three of nine attempts. On the ground, Cj Stembridge rushed for 61 yards.

As for George Walton Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 28.5 points this season.

Aj Dillard looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 89 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.

Lake Oconee Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 21-6 victory against Hancock Central on the 29th. As for George Walton Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 30-7 win against Tattnall Square Academy on the 29th.
