Arroyo is 8-0-1 against Encinal since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Arroyo Dons will look to defend their home pitch against the Encinal Jets at 3:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, Arroyo came up short against Moreau Catholic and fell 4-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Dons came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 356th, while the Mariners are ranked 848th).

Meanwhile, Encinal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of San Lorenzo.

Arroyo's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-2. As for Encinal, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Arroyo took their victory against Encinal in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0. Does Arroyo have another victory up their sleeve, or will Encinal turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
