Softball Recap: R-S Central Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact R-S Central can now relate to. They came up short against the North Surry Greyhounds on Friday, falling 8-0. The shutout was out of character for the Hilltoppers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

R-S Central's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-6. As for North Surry, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-16 record this season.

R-S Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Surry, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Foard on the 12th.
