Softball Recap: Holtville Gets the Win

Holtville's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They never let the Calipatria Hornets get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Holtville's win bumped their record up to 5-17. As for Calipatria, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-9.

As for Calipatria, they will square off against Julian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.17 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
