Franklin entered their tilt with Greendale on Thursday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They beat the Panthers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2. For the Sabers, this counts as revenge for the 8-7 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Cameron Lund looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tavin Nass was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That run was his first of the season.

Franklin's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Greendale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Coming up, Franklin will welcome Muskego at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Sabers 1.6, the Warriors 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Greendale, they will square off against Shorewood at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Greyhounds will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
