Recap: Richwood Rams vs. Neville Tigers
The Richwood Rams were the 69-66 winner over the Neville Tigers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Richwood was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 72-71 to Neville. Richwood just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Neville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jontae Turpin jr led the charge by scoring 22 points. Another player making a difference was Travone Varner, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 assists.
Richwood's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Neville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Richwood will head out on the road to face off against Delhi at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Neville, they will square off against Ouachita Parish at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Ouachita Parish's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
