Football Recap: North Moore Takes a Loss

North Moore and Kinston squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but North Moore had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Vikings and fell 53-7. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Kinston got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Jones out in front who threw for 295 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes. Those seven passing touchdowns gave Jones a new career-high. A healthy portion of Jones' aerial production (101 yards to be exact) went to Brennan Chambers, who also brought in four receiving touchdowns.

North Moore's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Kinston, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

As of now, neither North Moore nor Kinston have any future games scheduled.
