Baseball Game Preview: GMG Wolverines vs. Baxter

The GMG Wolverines will venture away from home to challenge Baxter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, GMG didn't have quite enough to beat Colo-NESCO and fell 5-4.

Meanwhile, Baxter made easy work of BCLUW on Wednesday and carried off a 15-1 win. The result was nothing new for Baxter, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Baxter has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for GMG, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

GMG couldn't quite finish off Baxter in their previous matchup on June 1st and fell 2-0. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
