Basketball Recap: East Valley Takes a Loss

East Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Toppenish Wildcats. The game marked the Red Devils' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

East Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Toppenish, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. East Valley will take on Sunnyside in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils will need to watch out since the Grizzlies have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Toppenish and Selah will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
