Basketball Recap: Bradshaw Mountain Comes Up Short

Bradshaw Mountain and Mingus squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Bradshaw Mountain had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Mingus Marauders and fell 59-25. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Marauders recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Bradshaw Mountain lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Allyson Downing, who posted six points. Emma Johnson was another key player, putting up five points and five boards.

Mingus got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alice Kinsey out in front who almost dropped a triple-double with ten points, 13 rebounds, and nine steals. The dominant performance also gave Kinsey a new career-high in assists (six). Another player making a difference was Savannah Tobias, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards.

Bradshaw Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Mingus, their win bumped their record up to 20-7.

Bradshaw Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mingus, they will head out to face off against Douglas at 7:00 p.m. on February 27th. Mingus is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.4 points per game this season.
