Basketball Recap: Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

Chapel Hill was the 77-72 winner over Jonesboro when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Chapel Hill Panthers took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jonesboro Cardinals on Monday.

Tim Prather was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 15 on his way to 16 points and six boards for Jonesboro. Frank Jackson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Chapel Hill's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Jonesboro, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

Chapel Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-61 defeat against Westlake on the 24th. As for Jonesboro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-31 win against Mundy's Mill on the 25th.
