Basketball Recap: Chester Comes Up Short

Chester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 49-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Columbia Capitals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cyclones this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-50 on Thursday.

Chester's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Columbia, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chester will venture away from home to square off against Fairfield Central at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia, they will head out to face off against Eau Claire at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
