Recap: Malcolm Clippers vs. St. Paul Wildcats
Make it five blowout wins for the Malcolm Clippers this season. They really took it to St. Paul for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-29 victory on the road. Given Malcolm's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while St. Paul is ranked 189th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Malcolm's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Keira Farritor, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Farritor scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Dolliver, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Malcolm has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for St. Paul, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Malcolm will take on Nebraska City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nebraska City is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for St. Paul, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Centura at 6:00 p.m. Centura has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
