Basketball Recap: Shawnee Mission South Skates Past Campbell County with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shawnee Mission South). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Campbell County Camels 74-26. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Campbell County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

After both having extra time off, Shawnee Mission South and Blue Valley West will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. As for Campbell County, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Scottsbluff at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Scottsbluff knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Campbell County likes a good challenge.
