Soccer Recap: Washington International vs. Jackson-Reed
Washington International was the 3-1 winner over Jackson-Reed when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Washington International Red Devils fell just short of the Jackson-Reed Tigers by a score of 1-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' District of Columbia soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Tigers are ranked fifth).
Having lost for the first time this season, Washington International fell to 9-1-1. As for Jackson-Reed, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
Washington International's road trip will continue as they head out to face Smith Jewish Day School at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson-Reed does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
