Football Recap: Calhan Bulldogs vs. Byers Bulldogs
After soaring to 46 points the game before, Calhan was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They had to suffer through a 62-6 loss at the hands of the Byers Bulldogs. Calhan was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Byers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.
Bryson Mosher threw for 35 yards on five of 18 attempts.
It was another big night for Chase Long, who threw for 181 yards and three touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes, and also caught a touchdown for Byers. Cameron Eastwood was another key player, picking up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Calhan dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Byers, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Calhan wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 48-44 win against Elbert on the 1st. Byers has also already played their next match, a 68-20 victory against St. Mary's on the 1st.
