Kentwood won the last time they faced Auburn Riverside and things went their way on Thursday too. The Conquerors breezed past the Ravens to the tune of 63-28. The Conquerors pushed the score to 48-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Ravens had little chance of recovering from.

Brandon Tagle had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 62 yards and one score on only seven carries, and also threw for 135 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 62 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Trevon Mayfield was Tagle's top target, picking up 80 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 30 yards.

Despite the loss, Auburn Riverside saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Isaac Fernandez picked up 45 receiving yards and three TDs. Fernandez also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making one tackle. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Isaac Mospanko, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Kentwood now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Auburn Riverside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
