Sierra Grande waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 35-25 victory over the Cotopaxi Pirates. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Sierra Grande to victory were Jaylyn Quezada and Eneria Quintana. Quezada posted 12 points along with eight boards and six steals, while Quintana put up 15 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Quezada has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played.

Sierra Grande smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Hayden Eggleston and Kelsey Teter certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Eggleston dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 steals, while Teter scored six points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That was a full 64% of Cotopaxi's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Sierra Grande now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Cotopaxi, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Sierra Grande wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 35-31 win against Kim/Branson on the 28th. As for Cotopaxi, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 29-26 victory against Miami-Yoder on the 28th.
