The Sheridan Generals will face off against the Tri-Valley Scotties at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Sheridan is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing New Lexington: they outscored them in every quarter. Sheridan put the hurt on New Lexington with a sharp 66-45 victory on Wednesday. Given the Generals' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Panthers are ranked 442nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tri-Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They blew past the Colts, posting a 56-9 win. That looming 56-9 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Scotties yet this season.

Tri-Valley pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sheridan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.
