Baseball Recap: Three Rivers Beats Parchment for Their Fourth Straight Win

Three Rivers waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Parchment Panthers by a score of 7-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-3 on Thursday.

Wyatt Ferriby tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Carson Beuter was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Penny, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Three Rivers pushed their record up to 15-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Parchment, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Coming up, Three Rivers will venture away from home to take on Union City at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Parchment, they will host Martin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
