The Union Red Hawks will head out to face off against the Atherton Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Union comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Union's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Mona Shores on Friday. They were outmatched by the Sailors and fell 47-0. While losing is never fun, the Red Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Sailors are ranked 50th).

Meanwhile, while Atherton put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Flint Southwestern Academy. The Wolverines blew past the Knights, posting a 41-0 win. The Wolverines' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Union better focus on containing Deavante' Deleon and Cartier Younger as the pair were huge in Atherton's win. Deleon rushed for 176 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries, while Younger threw for 168 yards and two touchdowns. Deleon's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 176 rushing yards.

Atherton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 236 rushing yards. They are 4-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Atherton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Makari Powell and Antoine Green. Atherton received some extra help from Green, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Atherton's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4. As for Union, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
