Recap: Hamilton Lions vs. New Site Royals
The Hamilton Lions managed to keep up with the New Site Royals until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Hamilton was outmatched by New Site at home and fell 73-39. Hamilton just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Leading New Site to victory were Chloe Chism and Brooklyn Hodum. Chism scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals, while Hodum scored 30 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Chism is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Knight, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Hamilton dropped their record down to 5-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for New Site, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Hamilton will head out on the road to square off against East Union at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Site, they will be playing at home against Walnut at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
