Basketball Recap: Itawamba Agricultural Piles Up the Points Against Ripley

There's no place like home for Itawamba Agricultural, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They breezed by the Ripley Tigers to the tune of 54-20 on Tuesday. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Tigers are ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Itawamba Agricultural has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Ripley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Itawamba Agricultural will face off against Shannon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ripley, they will challenge Tishomingo County at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th.
