Basketball Recap: Barstow Knights vs. Stover Bulldogs
Barstow had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell to the Stover Bulldogs 51-45. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row dating back to last season.
Ashlyn Pinzke was a one-man wrecking crew for Stover as she dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Pinzke a new career-high in offensive rebounds (six). Mia Rowland was another key player, posting 13 points plus seven rebounds.
The victory made it two in a row for Stover and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Barstow will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Kauffman at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Stover, they will be taking part in a tournament against Butler at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
